The “Dancing in the Dirt Chili Cook-Off” is coming to Claude Luke’s Dirt at Terlingua Ranch on Saturday, September 13, 2025. The event is part of the Dancing in the Dirt Terlingua Style Music Festival, which runs September 12–14.
The chili competition begins with turn-in at 2:00 p.m., following CASI rules (no beans) and a $25 entry fee. The cook-off is open to anyone, with proceeds benefiting the South Brewster County Musician Charity.
Festival highlights include:
Open Mic: Daily from 1–6 p.m. Live Music: 7 p.m. to midnight with singer/songwriters and bands. Gospel Music Brunch: Sunday, September 14 at 10 a.m. Festival Passes: $20 for one day or $60 for the full three days. Chili cooks are not required to pay festival admission or camping fees.
