A Valentine man is in critical condition at an El Paso hospital following an altercation at the Valentine Bar on August 2. According to reporting by the Big Bend Sentinel, the incident involved Gary Morton, 61, and another longtime Valentine resident, Maxie Slover, 62.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is reviewing the case. Local law enforcement has not released further details.
