Fort Davis families are invited to Sherry’s Playhouse this Friday, August 22, for an all-ages Snack Time Live Music Picnic Party on the Patio. The evening event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at 603 N. State Street and features live music by Austin-based songwriter Matthew Hoopengardner.

Attendees can expect a mix of original songs and covers by artists like John Prine, David Bowie, and Ernest Tubb. Guests are encouraged to BYOP (bring your own picnic), or grab dinner from nearby eateries. The event is free and open to all.

Looking ahead, Sherry’s Playhouse will also host paper mâché crafting nights from 6–9 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday next week (August 25, 27, and 29), with creations set to make their debut at the Marfa Lights Parade on Saturday, August 30, at 10:30 a.m.
