The Alpine Public Library will host a special astronomy-themed children’s program on Wednesday, August 20, at 10:00 a.m. in the Children’s Room. The event will feature a presentation by Davis Mountains State Park staff from Texas Parks and Wildlife, offering young learners an engaging introduction to the wonders of the night sky.
Children will also have the opportunity to create their own summer constellation journal, which they can use for stargazing at home. The activity combines hands-on creativity with educational exploration of celestial patterns visible in the summer skies over West Texas.
This family-friendly event is free to attend and is designed to spark curiosity about astronomy while encouraging outdoor learning.
