Alpine Middle School’s STEAM students launched the new school year with a hands-on experiment that was as educational as it was entertaining. In a playful and interactive activity, students transformed marshmallows into a taffy-like texture using tearing, pulling, and a lot of laughter.
The annual kickoff activity has become a STEAM classroom favorite, blending science with creativity—and a bit of sugar.
“AMS STEAMers transform marshmallows into taffy through tearing, pulling and lots of laughter,” the school shared on social media. “AMS STEAM class always starts the year off yummy.”
