Alpine Cross Country Hosting Annual Moonlit Miles August 9

The Alpine High School and Middle School Cross Country teams are inviting the community to lace up for a unique evening under the West Texas sky. Their annual Moonlit Miles event will take place Saturday, August 9 at 10 p.m. at Kokernot Park.

Participants can walk, run, or simply enjoy the illuminated park path, which will be lit by both luminarias and the glow of a full moon. The relaxed event is designed for all ages and fitness levels, with an emphasis on socializing as much as exercising.

Tickets are $25 per person or $50 per family, with proceeds supporting Alpine’s cross country program. Donations will also be accepted at the event. Tickets can be purchased from Alpine HS or MS cross country runners, team managers, or at the park on race night.

Entry includes neon bracelets, MoonPies, and a special edition “Moon” Capri-Sun, adding a fun and festive twist to the night.
