Alpine Animal Services has named Ollie as this week’s Pet of the Week, and today is the final day to adopt him for just $50—half off the standard adoption fee. The fee includes neuter, microchip, heartworm test, and all vaccinations.
Ollie and his brother Pip were abandoned by their previous owner on November 11, 2024, and have since been cared for at the Alpine shelter. While Pip has already found his home, Ollie continues to make great progress.
Staff describe Ollie as a social and playful dog who gets along extremely well with other dogs—even in large playgroups. Though he’s still working on leash training, he’s improving daily. His excitement at the start of walks often has him bouncing “like he’s on a trampoline,” but he quickly settles in and is eager to learn—especially when milk bones are involved.
“Ollie is so sweet,” staff said. “He’s always looking for a pat or a hug, and he’s just happy to play.”
