Ministerial Agent Killed During High-Speed Pursuit Following Vehicle Theft Near Satevó

A brutal crime unfolded Thursday afternoon along the Parral–Chihuahua highway after a high-speed chase ended with the death of a state ministerial agent. The incident began near Satevó, where a luxury vehicle was stolen and the suspect fled toward Parral.

As state agents pursued the suspect, they alerted authorities in Parral, who set up a roadblock in the area of Maturana in an attempt to intercept the vehicle. According to official reports, the suspect deliberately rammed the barricade, striking two individuals, including Ministerial Agent Carlos Larquier.

Larquier was thrown nearly 30 meters from the roadway and was pronounced dead at the scene. The stolen vehicle came to rest on the roadside after damaging two additional vehicles belonging to civilians who were near the site of the impact.

The suspect was apprehended following a coordinated air and ground operation involving the Mexican Army and police forces. He is expected to face multiple charges, including intentional homicide.

Authorities sealed off the area while the Fiscalía General del Estado secured three vehicles believed to have been used in the attack. The incident has raised alarm among security agencies amid growing concerns about violence and organized crime along the corridor.
