The Chihuahuan Desert Research Institute (CDRI) is finalizing preparations for its annual BBQ & Auction fundraiser, scheduled for Friday, August 9.
The fundraiser will take place on CDRI’s grounds, which will be closed to the public for the entire day. Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at www.cdri.org.
Gates will open at 3:45 p.m., with a silent auction beginning at 4 p.m. Live music from Rick Ruiz and a Few Too Many will accompany the live auction starting at 5 p.m. Dinner will follow at 6 p.m., catered by Sanchez BBQ of Fort Davis.
The event is a major fundraiser for the nonprofit, supporting its desert conservation and education efforts.
