One of the most beloved Independence Day traditions in the Big Bend is back! The annual Kids Fishing Tournament at Post Park will be held on Saturday, July 5, from Noon to 2:00 PM, giving young anglers the chance to cast their lines and compete for prizes in the heart of nature.
Organized to follow the town’s 4th of July parade, registration will take place at the Post immediately after the parade concludes. The event is open to children in two age divisions: Ages 4–10 and Ages 11–17.
Each age group will compete for $50 cash prizes in two exciting categories:
- 🎣 Biggest Fish
- 🎣 Most Fish Caught
Whether your child is a first-time fisher or a seasoned junior angler, the tournament promises:
