Sul Ross State University has announced the return of its signature fundraising event, the Live at Gallego concert, scheduled for Sept. 26 at the Pete P. Gallego Center in Alpine.
This year’s event will feature Texas country artist Aaron Watson as the headliner, with Jason Martinez set to open. Downing Power Consulting, Inc., led by Sul Ross alumnus Lawrence R. Downing, is the presenting sponsor.
The concert supports capital improvements for Lobo athletic facilities. Last year’s inaugural event raised more than $80,000 for campus upgrades and brought together hundreds of supporters from across the Big Bend region.
