The Fort Davis Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center has released the full schedule for its “Coolest 4th of July” celebration, spanning three days of events from Friday, July 4 through Sunday, July 6.

Friday, July 4 kicks off with the Coolest 5K in Texas at Jeff Davis County Park, followed by vendors at the courthouse from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and a cornhole tournament starting at 9 a.m. Live music begins at 11 a.m. with Bucket of Bullets, followed by an afternoon of entertainment, including a 2 p.m. 5K race winner announcement, and live sets from W/Hall’s Last Call and Doug Moreland’s Family Band Dance at the Kelly Pavilion.
Saturday, July 5 opens with a pancake breakfast at 7:30 a.m., hosted at Church in the Mountains. A hometown parade rolls out at 10 a.m., with judging at 1:30 p.m., alongside an 11 a.m. pet pageant, noon BBQ by JDC Livestock Association, and live music with Rick Ruiz and A Few Too Many. Additional performances by Mariachi Santa Cruz and the Tejas Brothers follow, capped by a 9:45 p.m. fireworks extravaganza at the park and a 10:30 p.m. performance by A-Train and the Texans.
Sunday, July 6 features historical events at the Fort Davis National Historic Site, including an 1880s baseball game at 2 p.m. and an artillery demonstration at 4 p.m.
Ticketed evening events at the Kelly Pavilion include live music both Friday and Saturday nights. Prices range from $10–$20 for adults, $5 for kids, and $150–$250 for VIP tables. VIP reservations can be made by contacting fortdavisjuly4th@gmail.com.
