Redevelopment Planned for Burned Downtown Alpine Property

A section of downtown Alpine severely damaged by fire in May 2024 is set to be redeveloped under new ownership, according to reporting by Kara Gerbert of the Alpine Avalanche.

The property, located on Holland Avenue between 5th and 6th Streets, was previously owned by the Ivey family and has remained vacant since the fire. Greg Bow, representing the new ownership group Blue Wing, LLC, confirmed that the company has contracted the Alpine-based design-build firm Fabrica to lead the redevelopment effort.

“The first phase of the project will begin soon, starting with damage remediation and securing the site in preparation for future construction,” Bow stated in a release published by the Avalanche.

The redevelopment aims to support “the long-term revitalization of Alpine’s commercial core while honoring the region’s history,” Bow said. He also thanked the Ivey family and the City of Alpine for their support during the early stages of the process.

Fabrica, founded in 2011 by Bow and Kiowa Sibley-Cutforth, has worked on a number of residential and commercial projects in the region.
