Presidio Independent School District has announced that 37 students successfully earned their welding certification following a multi-day training and testing event last week.
A total of 48 students participated in the certification attempt, which began Thursday with safety training and continued through the weekend with hands-on skill development. District officials noted that students who did not pass will continue to receive support and preparation for future testing.
The certification effort is part of the district’s career and technical education program aimed at preparing students for workforce opportunities.
