Amistad will be onsite at the Food Pantry of Jeff Davis County on Friday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., offering one-on-one assistance with benefit applications and gathering community input on local transportation needs.
Visitors can get help applying for programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, CHIP, health insurance, and veterans’ assistance. In addition, Amistad is hosting a focus group to discuss local transit challenges and potential improvements.
The first 20 participants will receive a free basket of fresh produce valued at $15. No appointment is necessary.
