VisitBigBend.com Tops Regional SEO Rankings; Paisano and St. George Stand Out Among Hotels

VisitBigBend.com remains the top-performing website in the Big Bend region for search engine traffic, according to a SpyFu.com report pulled May 14, 2025. The report highlights strong SEO performance among tourism and media websites, with a few hotel properties also standing out.

VisitBigBend.com ranks for approximately 8,310 keywords and generates an estimated 35,500 monthly clicks, with a calculated monthly traffic value of $10,400—placing it well ahead of other regional domains.

Among local news outlets, BigBendSentinel.com leads in keyword volume with 13,400 SEO keywords and roughly 7,380 monthly clicks valued at $15,600. MarfaPublicRadio.org follows with 11,300 keywords and 5,680 monthly clicks, valued at $10,900.

BigBendTimes.com ranks for 4,260 keywords with about 2,410 monthly clicks and a traffic value of $2,080. While it trails in keyword count, it shares substantial overlap with both BigBendSentinel.com and MarfaPublicRadio.org, including 409 and 183 common keywords, respectively.

Tourism site VisitAlpineTX.com performs solidly with 4,080 keywords and 4,330 monthly clicks, while CityofMarfa.com delivers high engagement for its size with 7,340 clicks off just 2,390 keywords.

Two hotel websites—HotelPaisano.com and MarfaSaintGeorge.com—emerge as outliers among lodging properties in terms of search visibility and traffic value. HotelPaisano.com ranks for 1,150 keywords and draws an estimated 869 monthly clicks, valued at $1,530. MarfaSaintGeorge.com ranks for 1,580 keywords and brings in approximately 1,460 clicks, valued at $4,260. These figures position both properties ahead of many tourism bureaus and local businesses in terms of SEO-driven traffic.

Other sites, including FortDavis.com (439 keywords), VisitFortStockton.com (1,740 keywords), and AlpineAvalanche.com (1,680 keywords), report fewer than 1,600 monthly clicks each and lower traffic values overall.

The report also includes historical trend data, showing fluctuations in keyword rankings over the past two years. While some media outlets saw dips in early 2024, tourism and hospitality websites like VisitBigBend.com, HotelPaisano.com, and MarfaSaintGeorge.com have maintained or grown their visibility.

The SpyFu data points to an increasingly competitive digital landscape in the Big Bend region, where tourism-focused sites and select hotel properties are capturing a significant share of online traffic.
