The Fort Davis Education Foundation is preparing for its largest annual fundraiser, the Coolest 5K and 1K, scheduled during the Coolest 4th festivities in early July. With just a few months to go, the nonprofit is actively accepting donations and sponsorships to support students and teachers across Fort Davis schools.
Proceeds from the event help fund scholarships for all Fort Davis High School graduating seniors and quarterly grants for educators and extracurricular programs. This year, classroom grants were awarded to a wide range of grade levels and subjects, including art, reading, math, science, Spanish, and career and technical education. Additional grants supported athletics, FFA and music.
Sponsorship levels for the 2024 Coolest 5K and 1K include:
- $100 – Two race t-shirts and name printed on t-shirt
- $250 – Two race t-shirts and name printed on t-shirt
- $500 – Logo/name on group banner, two race t-shirts, name printed on t-shirt
