Jeff Davis County is accepting sealed bids for the reconstruction of Paisano Drive in the Town of Fort Davis. The project is being funded through the Texas Community Development Block Grant (TxCDBG) program under Contract No. CDV23-0490.
Bids will be publicly opened at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the Jeff Davis County Courthouse, located at 100 Court Avenue in Fort Davis. Submissions must be delivered by the deadline either in person at the courthouse or by mail to the County Judge’s Office, P.O. Box 836, Fort Davis, TX 79734.
The scope of work includes removal and replacement of existing asphalt pavement, surface treatment, prime coat, traffic control, cement-stabilized base, earthwork, concrete curb and slabs, utility adjustments, and other related items.
Bid and contract documents, including technical specifications and drawings, are available at the offices of Frank X. Spencer & Associates, Inc., 1130 Montana Avenue, El Paso. Interested parties can request documents by calling 915-533-4600. A refundable $100 deposit is required to obtain the documents.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or cashier’s check equal to 5% of the total bid amount. All contractors must comply with federal labor standards, including Davis-Bacon wage rates, and meet requirements set by the Texas Department of Agriculture.
The county encourages participation from Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, and Section 3 Businesses. Jeff Davis County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities.
