Big Bend Times Releases Most Complete Guide to Dining in Ojinaga

The Big Bend Times has published what may be the most comprehensive dining guide to date for Ojinaga, Chihuahua, covering more than 30 local restaurants and bakeries, plus a handful of grocery stores and food retailers.

The guide includes everything from longstanding institutions like Restaurant Pancho and Pollo Feliz to smaller, lesser-known eateries such as Tacodrilos Grill, Jesse James Smoked Ribs, and Montados de Progreso. Several locations included in the guide—such as Bon Appetit, Lobby’s, and La Promesa—are so new or off-the-radar that they don’t appear in most online listings or review platforms.

“We scoured the town to bring readers a complete list, whether it’s a burrito stand with no sign or a seafood spot tucked away in a quiet neighborhood,” said the editorial team. “You won’t find a more complete list anywhere else.”

The feature includes physical addresses, phone numbers, and in some cases, notes on location or specialties. Bakeries such as Panadería Dany, Camila Pastelería, and La Francesa Don Jose are also included, along with large-format grocers like Al Súper Plus, Soriana Súper, and Mi Bodega Aurrerá.

Ojinaga, a key city on the U.S.-Mexico border across from Presidio, Texas, is a growing destination for regional tourism and commerce. With the increase in visitors and cross-border business, locals and tourists alike have been looking for better resources on where to eat.

“We wanted to make sure we didn’t leave anyone out,” the Times wrote in the introduction. “Every restaurant we could track down—no matter how small or tucked away—is listed here.”
