Crows Nest Ranch Offers Mountain Retreat and Family Legacy Near Fort Davis

Nestled 6,000 feet above sea level in the Davis Mountains, Crows Nest Ranch & Campground has welcomed visitors seeking solitude, adventure, and art for over six decades. Located 18 miles southwest of Fort Davis on the scenic Hwy 166 loop, the ranch offers rustic cabins, shaded campsites, and full hook-up RV sites with sweeping West Texas views.

Originally established in 1905 and opened to the public for recreation in 1960, the property remains family-owned, now operated by Roxa Medley Robison. The site sits on a historic ranch along the Old Spanish Trail and includes the Old Spanish Trail Gallery and Museum—added in 2016 by Robison and her daughter, Besa Robison Martin—to showcase fine art and preserve family history.
