The Alpine High School Lady Bucks softball team has been crowned the 2025 District Champions after completing an undefeated district season.
The team went 8-0 in district play, securing the title with an 11-1 run-rule victory over Kermit on Tuesday night. Remarkably, the Lady Bucks won every district game this season by run rule.
This marks the third consecutive district championship for Alpine.
Tuesday’s game also marked Senior Night, honoring Jaycee Portillo and Rikki Vega in their final home game as Lady Bucks. The district title adds to their legacy as four-year players with the program.
