Alpine Animal Services has named Lassie its Pet of the Week and is offering a reduced adoption fee of $50 through Sunday, April 13. The fee includes spay, heartworm test, microchip, and vaccinations.
Lassie and her sister, Sloan, were picked up outside the city limits of Alpine on April 19, 2024, and brought to the shelter. Initially shy, both dogs have grown more social, especially after interacting with other dogs.
“She’s a talker,” one staff member noted, citing it as their favorite trait. Lassie still warms up slowly to new people but enjoys attention, walks with volunteers, and responds well to treats and toys—making her a great candidate for summer training.
Lassie is available for adoption at Alpine Animal Services, located at 2900 Old Marathon Highway, Alpine, TX 79830.
