Members of Alpine High School’s FFA chapter spent Saturday picking up trash along a two-mile stretch of Highway 1703 as part of the Adopt-a-Highway program.
The cleanup effort included help from a National Honor Society member and a community volunteer. The activity reflects the FFA program’s commitment to community service and civic responsibility.
“Community service is a core part of the FFA program,” Alpine ISD stated in a social media post.
The district also thanked participants and offered a playful reminder: “Don’t Mess With Texas! (Or Alpine FFA 😉).”
Alpine FFA continues to lead local efforts that support both environmental stewardship and student involvement in public service.
