Students from Alpine Middle School returned from the Fabens Tennis Invitational with several top finishes, showcasing their skills in singles and doubles competition across seventh and eighth grades.
In seventh-grade girls’ singles, Zoe Munoz secured first place, while Caisyn Hinojos took third. Seventh-grade boys’ doubles teams dominated the bracket, with Ty Ritchie and Brody Warren finishing in first place, followed by Reuben Prieto and Chris Cordova in second. In boys’ singles, Roman Holguin won first place, and Rhyder Vasquez earned second.
Among the eighth graders, Leah Struthers claimed first place in girls’ singles. Abram Portillo placed third in boys’ singles. In boys’ doubles, Matthew Reagan and Matthias Prieto took first place, and Barry Young and Colt Billings finished third.
The students received positive feedback for their performance and sportsmanship during the event. Coaches praised the teams for their strong representation of Alpine Independent School District.
