Second-grade students at Alpine Elementary recently explored the vibrant world of artist Henri Matisse during art class, drawing inspiration from the book Henri’s Scissors and his signature cut-out style.
Students created their own colorful masterpieces as part of a hands-on lesson made possible by the Ellen Noël Art Museum’s ART2Go program, which provided the supplies for the project.
The program offered students a creative opportunity to learn about modern art while expressing themselves through bold colors and abstract shapes.
