Alpine High School to Host Blood Drive March 27–28

Alpine High School will host a two-day blood drive on Thursday, March 27, and Friday, March 28, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the school library, located at 300 E. Hendryx Ave.

With blood donations on the decline nationwide, organizers stress the importance of giving. “There is no substitute for human blood and many patients cannot survive without it,” said Vitalant, the nonprofit coordinating the drive. “Giving blood is truly a selfless and heroic act.”

Students who donate three times before graduation will earn a “Life Cord” to wear on graduation day.

Appointments can be scheduled at vitalant.org, by calling 877-258-4825, or by scanning the QR code provided in promotional materials. Walk-ins will also be accepted as availability allows.
