TPWD Hiring Food Service Manager for Black Bear Restaurant at Indian Lodge in Fort Davis

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is seeking a Food Service Manager IV to oversee operations at the Black Bear Restaurant located at Indian Lodge in Davis Mountains State Park.

The full-time position, based at 16543 Park Road 3, offers a monthly salary of $5,687.50 and includes responsibilities such as menu planning, supervising staff, managing inventory and food service operations, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The restaurant manager will also be responsible for financial performance, staff training, and customer service.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, three years of experience as an operational manager in a restaurant or hotel setting, and two years of supervisory experience in food service operations. A valid state driver’s license is required, and the selected candidate must obtain a Food Service Manager certificate within 30 days of employment.

Preferred qualifications include a degree in hotel or restaurant management or graduation from a certified culinary school.

The position requires flexibility in scheduling, with shifts that may include weekends and holidays, and occasional travel. The application deadline is March 28, 2025.
