Fort Davis students Chelsea Hernandez and Anthony Serrano earned honors in the Lone Star Cowboy Poetry Gathering Youth Contest.
Hernandez placed third, and Serrano received an honorable mention for their original poems. Both students have been invited to read their work on Feb. 22 at Sul Ross State University in Alpine as part of the event’s youth showcase.
