Big Bend National Park Sees 10% Increase in Visitors in 2024

Big Bend National Park recorded 561,459 visitors in 2024, a 10% increase from the previous year’s total of 511,831, according to newly released National Park Service statistics. Despite the growth, the number still falls short of the record-setting 581,221 visitors in 2021.

Once considered among the least visited national parks, Big Bend has grown in popularity, drawing attention from travelers worldwide. Park officials expect the upward trend in visitation to continue as interest in outdoor recreation and Texas travel remains strong.
