The Alpine Police Department is investigating the discovery of a deceased male found in Alpine Creek near the Holland Avenue bridge on Sunday, February 2, 2025, around 1:00 p.m.
Officers responded to the 400 block of West Holland Avenue, where they located the body. According to Captain Felipe Fierro, foul play is not suspected at this time, but the body has been sent for an autopsy.
The Brewster County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Rangers assisted in the investigation. Authorities are withholding the identity of the deceased pending next-of-kin notification.
