In a historic moment for Alpine, Dog Is My CoPilot, Inc. landed at the Alpine airport early Thursday morning to transport multiple rescue dogs—including three from Alpine Animal Services Shelter—to adoption centers up north.
The effort was made possible through One Tail at a Time West Texas, which has been working to support animal welfare in small West Texas communities.
While the transport was a major milestone, local officials stress the importance of spaying and neutering pets to help control overpopulation and reduce the number of animals needing relocation.
