Alpine High School UIL Teams Win Big at McCamey Invitational

Alpine High School’s University Interscholastic League (UIL) academic teams secured top honors at the McCamey Invitational Meet on Jan. 24, 2025, with first-place finishes in both the Current Events and Social Studies competitions.

The Current Events team, made up of siblings Evan and Judith Frioux alongside teammate Miguel Batres, placed first in their category. In the Social Studies competition, Evan Frioux, Dylan Wang, Izabel Ortiz, and Raul Renteria took home the team championship.

Alpine ISD highlighted the achievement, sharing a team photo that featured Izabel Ortiz and Judith Frioux in the front row, with Dylan Wang, Miguel Batres, Raul Renteria, and Evan Frioux standing behind them.

The UIL teams continue to prepare for upcoming competitions, representing Alpine High School in academic contests across the region.
