In a heartfelt announcement, the restaurant shared their grief, explaining the closure yesterday and the delayed opening today. “We have lost one of our team members that we all loved more than words can describe,” the statement read.
The loss is felt deeply as the restaurant gears up for a big weekend with the West Texas Regional Chili Cook-Off set to begin tomorrow. The late team member was an integral part of the High Sierra family and a supporter of this community event.
“We are pulling it together because we know that’s what he would want,” the team said. “We know he will be with us in spirit.”
