The McDonald Observatory invites Fort Davis residents and visitors to participate in the upcoming Texas Science Festival, a celebration of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) featuring events from February 21 to March 6. The festival includes a variety of talks, demonstrations, shows, and tours designed for learners of all ages.
One of the festival’s standout events is the Mars Livestream hosted by McDonald Observatory on February 26. This free, all-ages event offers an exciting opportunity to explore the mysteries of the Red Planet from the comfort of your home or gathering space in Fort Davis.
Other highlights of the Texas Science Festival include:
- STEM Girl Day at The University of Texas at Austin on February 22
- Free 4th Sunday at the Texas Science & Natural History Museum on February 23
- Astronomy on Tap ATX events, including talks on supernovae and planetary systems
