Terrell County will soon enhance its firefighting capabilities with the addition of two new fire trucks: a pump truck and a brush truck. The vehicles, purchased from Davi Fire Equipment in Lubbock, were funded through a Community Development Block Grant totaling $650,888.
The new trucks will be operated by the Sanderson Volunteer Fire Department, which serves as the primary emergency response team for the county. The acquisition aims to bolster the department’s ability to combat fires in both urban and rural areas, addressing a critical need in this sparsely populated region.
The investment reflects ongoing efforts to improve public safety and emergency response infrastructure in Terrell County.
