A graduate of the Marine Military Academy, Sul Ross State University, and the Texas Tech University School of Law, he has previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) for the Western District of Texas, Pecos Division. His contributions include coaching Little League baseball, co-founding the Big Bend Ranch Rodeo, and serving on the Brewster County Historical Commission.

Vision for West Texas

Judge Kimball has deep ties to the region and expressed his commitment to serving the people of West Texas. In a statement prior to his election, he shared his motivations:

“My roots are in West Texas, and I want to continue to serve this area, this time as your district court judge.”

Kimball ran as a Republican, with the race decided in the primary election. Early voting began on February 20, 2024, ensuring a focused campaign period in the absence of a Democratic challenger.
