Chili With A Purpose: Fundraiser to Benefit Burro Mitigation Project in Davis Mountains Resort

This Saturday, enjoy a hearty meal for a great cause at Chili With A Purpose, hosted by the Davis Mountains Property Owners Association (DMPOA). Starting at 11 a.m., this drive-thru and dine-in event will offer a delicious sack lunch packed with:

  • A bowl of Judi’s homemade chili
  • Cornbread or crackers
  • Cheese, sour cream, jalapeños
  • A cookie and drink

Lunches are available for $20 each, with all proceeds going to the Burro Mitigation Project in DMR.

Supporting a Worthy Cause

The Burro Mitigation Project helps rescued burros from the Davis Mountains Resort become part of the Texas Equine Xperience And Sanctuary (T.E.X.A.S.) Rescue programs based in Granbury, Texas. These programs provide therapeutic opportunities and facilitate adoptions for some burros, ensuring a brighter future for these animals.

  • When: Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. or until food runs out
  • Where: Davis Mountains Property Owners Association, 101 Yellow Knife Trail

While you can grab your chili lunch to-go, visitors are welcome to come inside, enjoy a cup of coffee, and eat their meal on-site. Cinnamon rolls will also be available for purchase during the event.
