2nd Annual Wildlife Weekend Features Guided Hike on Hancock Hill

Nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers are invited to kick off their Saturday morning at the 2nd Annual Wildlife Weekend with a guided hike up Hancock Hill on February 1, 2025. Led by Dr. Ryan S. Luna, participants will explore Alpine’s diverse local wildlife while delving into topics such as diet selection, habitat use, and scat identification.

The 1.8-mile hike, which is moderately strenuous, begins at 9 a.m. at Sul Ross State University. Dr. Luna, a wildlife expert, will guide attendees through the scenic trail, offering insights into the area’s natural habitats.
