Presidio EMS is thrilled to announce that Ana Medina has passed her National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic exam, marking a significant milestone in her career and for the department as a whole.
Ana’s journey into emergency medical services began while she was still in high school. There, she completed her EMT-Basic class and earned her certification. Despite not being hired immediately, Ana’s passion for EMS never wavered.
In April 2022, her perseverance paid off when EMS Director Troy Sparks recognized her potential and welcomed her to the Presidio EMS team. Since then, Ana has become an integral part of the department, particularly within its Community Health Paramedicine division, where her dedication and compassion shine through.
This accomplishment not only highlights Ana’s determination and hard work but also underscores Presidio EMS’s commitment to excellence. The department now boasts:
- Four full-time certified paramedics, including Ana
- Two employees currently enrolled in paramedic programs, further strengthening the team’s expertise
Ana’s certification elevates the level of care provided to the Presidio community, ensuring residents receive exceptional medical attention.
“Her journey is a testament to perseverance and passion,” said Director Sparks. “We couldn’t be prouder of her achievement and the bright future she brings to our team.”
Please join Presidio EMS in congratulating Ana Medina on her outstanding accomplishment and her continued dedication to serving the community.
