The West of the Pecos Museum has officially reopened its doors after a temporary closure prompted by the train accident near the facility on December 18. While the museum itself was not directly impacted by the incident, it had paused operations to cooperate with authorities and ensure safety.
“We are grateful for the community’s support during this time,” a museum representative shared. “Our thoughts remain with the victims, their families, and everyone affected by the tragedy, as well as our neighbors at the Pecos Area Chamber of Commerce and the Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame.”
The museum invites visitors back to explore its rich history and enjoy its exhibits. Regular hours of operation have resumed, and the team is eager to welcome guests and continue serving as a cultural cornerstone of the region.
