Chinati Weekend, a cornerstone cultural event in West Texas since 1987, will take place October 10-12, 2025. Hosted by the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, the event offers a weekend of open viewing, special exhibitions, talks, music, and meals, all free to the public.
Originally started by Donald Judd as a gathering for friends and colleagues, Chinati Weekend has evolved into an essential part of the foundation’s programming and a highly anticipated celebration of art and community. The event draws visitors from across the globe to experience the foundation’s renowned permanent collection and engage in cultural dialogue.
A highlight of the weekend is Saturday night’s Benefit Dinner, which raises vital funds for Chinati’s mission to preserve its collection, present outstanding exhibitions, support new scholarship, and host artists-in-residence.
