The Big Bend Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas invites you to a unique field trip experience in Marfa, Texas, showcasing exceptional landscaping designed by renowned West Texas landscape designer, Jim Martinez. This event is scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Kirr and Martinez Estates.

Attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to visit two private residences, Susan Kirr’s residence and Jim Martinez’s own estate, where they can admire the distinctive landscaping that exemplifies West Texas style. Jim Martinez will lead the tour, providing insights into his design process and answering any questions about the landscapes.
