Operation Green Elf: Big Bend Sector Border Patrol Delivers Holiday Cheer

The US Border Patrol’s Big Bend Sector successfully concluded Operation Green Elf in Alpine, Texas, marking a significant community contribution during the holiday season. The operation involved agents and staff from the sector, who showcased their generosity by donating nearly 50 wrapped presents to the Family Crisis Center of the Big Bend.

The Family Crisis Center, a vital resource in the region, provides support and services to families in distress. The gifts from the Border Patrol agents will go a long way in bringing joy to those in need during the holiday season.

“I am incredibly proud of their generosity,” said a spokesperson for the US Border Patrol Big Bend Sector. This annual initiative reflects the sector’s commitment to community engagement and support, beyond their primary role of safeguarding the nation’s borders.

Operation Green Elf is part of a broader effort by the US Border Patrol to foster positive relationships within the communities they serve. Such initiatives underscore the dual role of law enforcement agencies as both protectors and active participants in community welfare. The Big Bend Sector plans to continue this tradition, aiming to make a difference in the lives of many during the festive season and beyond.
