The Lady Bucks Varsity basketball team opened their season with a victory against Balmorhea, led by freshman Gyllian Morrissey who scored 17 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, and made 7 steals. Sophomore Colette Fowlkes also contributed significantly with 10 rebounds and 5 blocks. The team is looking to build on this win with upcoming games against Ft. Hancock at home on Tuesday, 11/19, and an away game at Ft. Stockton on Friday.
The Junior Varsity team traveled to Del Rio for the Queen City Classic, finishing the tournament with a 1-2 record and securing 4th place. Freshman Marisol Jimenez stood out by being named to the All Tournament team. The JV Lady Bucks will face Ft. Stockton at home next Tuesday.
