Brewster County Sets Budget for Visitor Center Developments in Terlingua and Marathon

In a recent session, the Brewster County Commissioners Court allocated significant funds to boost tourism infrastructure. A $500,000 contingency reserve was created within the Tourism Fund, along with two new capital expenditure funds, each starting with $250,000. These funds will oversee the development of new visitor centers in Terlingua and Marathon, aimed at enhancing visitor experiences and educating tourists about the region’s natural and cultural heritage.
