Two unique properties in Presidio County, including the historic Presidio ice plant, are now available for purchase through a sealed bid auction hosted at texascg.com. Interested buyers have the chance to own a piece of Presidio history, with bidding for the rural property ending on November 26 and the ice plant’s auction closing on November 23.
The historic ice plant, located on Gonzales Avenue on the west side and north of E Duran Street in Presidio, Texas, includes parts of Lots 17 and 18 in Block 11 of the Anderson Addition to the town of Presidio. The site, appraised at $7,030, must be brought up to code within six months of the filed deed. Property records for the ice plant are found in Volume 279, Page 345 of the Deed Records in Presidio County.
The rural property, a 2.5-acre tract described as Section 3, Block 1 in the T&P RY Col, is located in the Rio Grande area and appraised at $450. The property includes a 30-foot easement along its eastern boundary for roadway and utility access and is subject to various rights, easements, and conditions on record.
Both properties have received two bids each, and any bids placed after the closing times—12:46 a.m. on November 23 for the ice plant and 11:29 p.m. on November 26 for the rural property—will not be considered, regardless of the availability of the “Bid Now” button on the website.
