Marfa School Board Reviews Enrollment and Attendance Metrics

At a recent meeting, Marfa ISD’s school board reviewed current student enrollment and attendance statistics, as reported by the Big Bend Sentinel. The meeting, attended by board members Teresa Nuñez, Rene Gonzales, Stela Fuentez, Paul Hunt, and Interim Superintendent Arturo Alferez, noted an enrollment of 195 students across the district. The district-wide attendance rate stands at 93%, with Marfa Elementary notably higher at 96.48%. Principal Rosie Martinez provided these updates, emphasizing the district’s commitment to maintaining robust attendance and engagement among students.
