Alpine Independent School District (ISD), located in the expansive region of far West Texas, is inviting applications for the role of Business Services Specialist. This position offers flexibility in employment status, with both part-time and full-time opportunities available.
As of September 12, 2024, Alpine ISD, a small AAA district with approximately 890 students, is looking for a dedicated individual to assist the district’s Chief Financial Officer. The Business Services Specialist will help oversee the financial and business affairs of the district and support the business office in managing the district’s financial services activities to ensure compliance with legal standards and effective management practices.
Qualifications for this role include:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
- Preferred two years of experience in school business management, finance, accounting, or public organization finance.
- Knowledge of budgeting, accounting systems, and economics.
- Proficiency in information/data processing systems and financial applications.
- Strong conflict resolution, leadership, and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
The salary for the Business Services Specialist is competitive and based on the local salary schedule for a 12-month contract.
