The Judd Foundation, dedicated to preserving the work of Donald Judd, is looking to hire a Visitor Services Coordinator (VSC) for its Marfa, Texas office. This vital role will manage the public visitation schedule to Donald Judd’s iconic spaces in Marfa and serve as the main contact for public inquiries and visit bookings.
Job Description: The VSC will be responsible for conducting visits, maintaining the visit schedule, organizing guides, and greeting visitors. This full-time position requires a flexible schedule, accommodating the foundation’s dynamic program needs, including working on holidays and some evenings. The typical work schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, shifting seasonally to Tuesday through Saturday, with standard hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including a one-hour paid lunch break.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and operate the public visit schedule.
- Act as the primary point of contact for public inquiries and bookings.
- Conduct tours and oversee the organization of guides.
- Assist in the delivery of all aspects of visitor services, hospitality, and public programs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in public engagement roles.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- A demonstrated interest and knowledge in art, architecture, and design.
- Exceptional attention to detail and administrative skills.
Compensation: The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $40,000 to $42,500 per year, commensurate with experience. Benefits include full individual healthcare coverage.
