Fort Davis ISD Seeks Curriculum and School Readiness Coordinator for Remote Role

Fort Davis Independent School District (ISD) has announced an opening for a Curriculum and School Readiness Coordinator. This full-time position, based remotely with occasional statewide travel, offers a unique opportunity to influence early childhood education across various community and educational settings.

Position Overview: The Curriculum and School Readiness Coordinator will work under the direction of the Deputy Superintendent and is responsible for a broad range of duties including managing educational programs, overseeing budgets, and conducting professional development for early childhood organizations. The role demands a high level of organizational and computer skills, budget management expertise, and proficiency in evaluating instructional programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing educational policies and procedures.
  • Managing and interpreting data to evaluate teaching effectiveness and curriculum impact.
  • Organizing and leading professional development sessions for partner organizations.
  • Participating in evening board meetings monthly and attending specialized training sessions as required.
  • Engaging with staff, parents, and community members both in person and virtually.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Valid SBEC Texas Teaching Certification.
  • Experience in curriculum development and school readiness programs.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and public relations skills.
